Ontario PC President Rick Dykstra has just announced that there will be a leadership race before the end of March.

This has been a difficult and tumultuous 48 hours for everyone. However, with the leadership race being announced, and our caucus having selected MPP Vic Fedeli as our interim leader, we have come out stronger and more united than ever.

I would like to make one thing very clear: I am going to let the over 200,000 Ontario PC members decide who should be the next Premier of Ontario. Meanwhile, my campaign team and I will continue to focus on the people of Carleton, one vote at a time. I made a commitment to put the people of Carleton first, and I will continue to do that.
